Prison Break is returning to the set-top box, picking up where it left off seven years ago.
The first trailer previewing the fifth season has been released by Fox, reigniting rumours that the thought-to-be-dead Michael Scofield, played by Wentworth Miller, may still be alive.
This time Lincoln Scofield, played by Dominic Purcell, and his wife Sara, portrayed by Sarah Wayne Callies, join together to manufacture the series’ biggest escape yet.
The early series lured audiences with its gripping storyline, but after the initial prison break, the writers struggled to keep the story going.
But after the few years to mull over a new idea, the entire cast and original writer are back together with a fresh angle on the new season.
Season Five of the hot drama is set to premiere in the US in September.
