Director of Edward Scissorhands, Tim Burton has blessed the world with another film that’s dedicated to the bizarre and odd people among us.
Based off Ransom Riggs’ 2011 novel, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children follows the story of 16-year-old Jacob Portman who follows mysterious Emma into a sunken ship which leads them into a portal to the 1940s, where he discovers Miss Peregrine and all the children with special powers.
As with many Burton films, the trailer is littered with amazing art designs, lovable but morbid characters and the director’s love of outsiders.
The film co-stars Judi Dench, Samuel L. Jackson and Rupert Everett, alongside Eva Green as Miss Peregrine and Asa Butterfield as Jacob.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is set to be released in theatres September 30.
