When Christmas comes, there’s one songstress that we will always hear: Mariah Carey!
The Hallmark Channel knows how popular her hit ‘All I want for Christmas is You’ is, so they are producing a movie that will be directed by the songbird herself. Not only that but she will also be acting in the movie! It’s been way too long since we saw her acting skills in action. Fingers crossed her screen presence is still as charismatic as ever.
The Christmas movie rightfully named A Christmas Melody will be aired on Dec 19 on the Hallmark Channel, and features Lacey Chabert, Kathy Najimy and Brennan Elliot.
According to Refinery29, the movie’s plot centres on Chaber’s character Kristin, who has moved to a different town after a painful divorce. Carey’s character was a classmate to Kristin who has made it big due to marrying a rich man. Both characters become each other’s rival and of course, you can pretty much guess what the movie will be like and although the plot is unoriginal, it’d be worth watching just to see Carey glow.
