Sydney’s cinematic alt-folk group, Lazy Colts have just announced the release of their new single, Twenty Two, their debut LP, Trojan and a tour to promote the LP.

Twenty Two is an ode to naive youth and the relationships formed during that time.

“Essentially Twenty Two is about the grand ‘undying’ sentiments that hallmark your first cracks at a serious relationship,” lead singer Lacey Cole said of the single.

The video clip for the song represents both the vulnerability and joy of being young. It is directed by Sarah Adamson.

The release of the group’s debut album, Trojan has been two years in the making and calls upon a variety of influences including The National, Nick Cave and Bruce Springsteen.

Lazy Colts will be touring Australia in August to celebrate the release of Trojan.

The tour will begin in Melbourne on August 6 and move on to Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney and end in Katoomba on September 4.
