48-year-old country singer Keith Urban has confirmed that after a lengthy struggle with cancer, his father Robert passed away on Saturday night.
Urban had previously revealed on Thursday that his father had been placed in hospice care and had “only got a few weeks, if that.” This news came after the unveiling of the singer’s new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame titled “Keith Urban So Far…”
After the tragic news, Urban shared a statement saying he was touched by the amount of love and support and thanked everyone for sharing their thoughts and prayers.
For Urban and his wife Nicole Kidman, it has been a sad year as they had lost Kidman’s father, Dr. Anthony Kidman previously to a tragic accident while he was visiting Kidman’s sister in Singapore.
