Finding Dory Trailer Alludes A Same-Sex Couple

Finding Dory

Finding DoryPixar have given movie goers a glimpse at what to expect in the much awaited sequel to Finding Nemo.

Finding Dory is set to reach cinemas next month, 13 years after Dory helped Marlin track Nemo down at a Sydney Harbour Dentist.

The new trailer has stirred controversy as it alludes to a same-sex couple featured in the animation.

Over a minute into the trailer, a toddler drops her bottle from her pram. The scene then cuts to two women in front of the pram, one of which retrieved the bottle and said: “poor baby, let me get that for you.”

Eagle eyed viewers went directly to social media to bloviate about the seemingly gay couple in the children’s film.

Comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres stars as Dory and maybe this is a tribute to her same-sex marriage to Australian actress Portia de Rossi.

Nonetheless, Nemo fans around the world have been waiting for this film and I’m sure cinema buffs won’t be disappointed.
